Michael has spent more than three decades helping clients seeking to turn their financial goals into reality. He serves a select group of high net-worth individuals and families, designing tailored wealth management strategies that reflect their unique circumstances and aspirations. Mike’s areas of focus include retirement planning, corporate executive services, alternative investments, and the hedging and monetization of concentrated stock positions. Through the Stifel Solutions Program, he also manages portfolios on a discretionary basis for clients who choose this advisory services program.
Michael began his investment services industry career in 1994, shortly after earning his B.S.B.A. in Finance from Creighton University. One of the most meaningful moments in his early career came in 1995 when he was selected by the top advisor in his firm to be made a partner. That decision helped shape his path and instilled a deep sense of responsibility. After his mentor’s passing in 2000, Michael carried forward that legacy with pride and purpose. He went on to become the first million-dollar producer for Wells Fargo’s bank channel in Nebraska in 2008, a milestone he continued to achieve annually. In 2024, Michael transitioned his practice to Stifel, a move that marked a new chapter, allowing him to operate in a truly client-centered environment that aligns with his values. In 2025, Michael took on the role of Branch Manager for Stifel’s Omaha, Lincoln, and Atlantic offices. In this leadership position, he is dedicated to helping the financial advisors he supports reach their full potential. He creates an environment that encourages collaboration, professional growth, and a strong commitment to client service. Michael supports each advisor in building and refining their individual practices. He believes that trust, transparency, and doing what is right for clients are the cornerstones of lasting success.
In 2001, Michael earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER
® certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., which identifies those individuals who have met the experience requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP
® Certification Examination. Michael takes great pride in the knowledge and commitment to continuing education that the CFP
® certification represents. His clients and colleagues would describe him as deeply caring, highly experienced, and unwaveringly dedicated to helping others reach their financial potential.
Michael’s life outside the office is centered around family, tradition, and a healthy dose of competition. He and his wife, Kyle, are proud parents to two daughters, Olivia and Ava, and are currently building their dream home on a lake. That project has rekindled Michael’s love of fishing and sparked a new interest in all things aquatic.
A passionate home cook, Michael enjoys keeping his family’s Italian and Czech recipes alive. He often adds his own twist and uses technology to perfect dishes made from scratch. He also plays competitive amateur golf. Whether he is on the course, in the kitchen, or cheering on Creighton University’s men’s basketball team, Michael brings the same thoughtful intensity and joy to everything he does.
Michael and his wife have a long history of giving back to their home community of Omaha, serving on multiple boards of directors and driving positive change. Michael is also a proud supporter of Jesuit education and remains actively involved with his alma maters, Creighton Preparatory School and Creighton University. His commitment to being other-centered, a core Jesuit value, continues to shape how he approaches both life and work.
The Solutions program requires a minimum investment, which varies by strategy. Ask your Financial Advisor for a Disclosure Brochure, which further outlines the fees, services, exclusions, and disclosures associated with this program. Since all investment decisions in a Solutions account are made by the Financial Advisor without having to receive prior client approval, it is important that Solutions clients have detailed knowledge of the Financial Advisor’s individual investment philosophy and decision-making process before entrusting him or her with their portfolio. You should consider all terms and conditions before deciding whether the Solutions Program and any particular strategy are appropriate for your needs.
Alternative investments involve a high degree of risk, often engage in leveraging and other speculative investment practices that may increase the risk of investment loss, can be highly illiquid, are not required to provide periodic pricing or valuation information to investors, may involve complex tax structures and delays in distributing tax information, are not subject to the same regulatory requirements as more traditional investments, and often charge high fees, which may erode performance. An investment is appropriate only for investors who have the capacity to absorb a loss of some or all of their investment.
